Calgon....take me away!

NO, this picture is not a repeat of the one below!
New day, new snow. For the third time since the last picture. The remnants of the last snowfall just totally went away yesterday. You can see by the ruler that as of about 11:00 this morning, it was nearly at 6" - and is still coming down.

This young couple was having a hard time getting from the pond over to their nest this morning. The papa was breaking trail for mama, and each time she would stop to rest, he'd turn around and "encourage" her to come along. Poor things. How would you like to have to wade through snow up past your bellies just to get home?!
Hopefully, this will be the last time this spring that we see this. Or that you hear about it.
